Background
Fusion is a free and confidential service for anyone aged between 11 and 24 who lives in the Gwent area and is concerned about their own drinking or drug use, or that of a friend or family member.
Our Philosophy
To provide a friendly, supportive, confidential and non-judgemental service. To build appropriate and effective relationships with young people in order to work with them to achieve their positive outcomes with regard to alcohol and substance use. In order to achieve this, we base our service on respect and empathy for the individual and their right to confidentiality. We accept that the individual’s goal may often be harm reduction rather than abstinence.
Our service is based on a holistic approach which links alcohol and substance related issues to other broader issues. The service will evolve as local needs change and resources will be prioritised to local needs and issues.
